It offers secure, real-time data exchange with Head End System (HES) through push/pull
technology, both ‘on request’ and ‘on schedule,’ for an end-to-end visibility to monitor &
optimise energy expenditures.
Integrated with RF & GSM/GPRS communication features, Rajdut 1.0 Data Concentrator Unit (DCU) serves as main interface between smart meters and HES, enabling continuous/periodic meter monitoring and control. It collects & stores data from RF-enabled meters (on-demand/scheduled), which is automatically retrieved by HES and transferred to MDMS. It configures communication with meters and transfers field data to the HES via Wide Area Network (WAN). The programmable push/pull frequency, command prioritisation, and dual SIM support (IPv4/IPv6) ensure reliable and flexible operation.
The integrated prepaid module can be used in association with the meter data management system to make revenue collections smoother, faster, smarter.
The Polaris smart meters can communicate with DCU directly or indirectly through other meters in case of low network coverage using Wirepas technology.
